Sex is what first drew many of us to bondage, and combining sex with bondage is still one of our favorite things. All too often, though, erotic bondage ends up being awkward and frustrating. This class will teach you bondage that immobilizes your partner while leaving them exposed and accessible.

We’ll begin with a set of ties and techniques for immobilizing every part of your partner’s body. These building blocks can be combined in a wide variety of ways to hold your partner still in whatever position works best for your favorite mischief.

Different types of mischief call for different positions, so we’ll take an in depth look at four of our favorite sex positions, each of which is adaptable to a wide range of activities and body types. No matter what your genders or what kind of sex you and your partner prefer, you’ll learn practical skills that will improve your sex life and make you a better and more effective rigger.

If you aren’t able to attend an in-person class or you’d like to review the material from a class you’ve already taken, here are step by step instructions for all the ties in the class.

Module 1: Frictions and Futomomos

This module introduces the futomomo, a classic tie for binding the thigh and calf together. We’ll look at two different ways to tie a futo: the spiral futomomo is inspired by Japanese rope bondage, while the ladder futomomo is a hybrid technique typical of modern fusion bondage.

In addition to liking the spiral futomomo in its own right, we find it to be a great platform for practicing foundational bondage skills like managing tension and using Munter frictions. If you want to improve your bondage skills, you could do worse than to spend a few hours tying spiral futomomos and focusing on getting all the details just right.

Module 2: Sexy Times

What kind of Bondage for Sex class doesn’t show you how to put rope on your naughty bits?

In this module we’ll look at ways to do just that: crotch ropes that stimulate the genitals, and harnesses for attaching dildos and vibrators to your crotch.

And of course, when you’re done doing dirty things to each other, we’ll talk about how to wash your rope so it’s ready for next time.

Module 3: Positions

This module begins with the Somerville Bowline, which is the preferred column tie of many expert riggers. It’s more complicated than the basic single column tie, but is faster to tie and has multiple technical advantages. It’s not an easy tie to learn, but it’s worth the effort if you’re going to get serious about bondage.

Next, we’ll take a look at two of our favorite positions for having sex in: the crab position and the piledriver.
