Step by step

1Bring the line through the carabiner.

2Tie a Munter hitch exactly as you would for a top lock off.

It’s best if you can capture the original upline in the Munter, but it isn’t necessary.

3Use a standard upline lock off with a slipped half hitch and a Yuki knot.
