Slipped Upline Hitch

TODO

Step by step

1Run the extra rope down the upline.

28" before the end, make a 90° bend and go behind and around around the upline, crossing over the vertical part of the leftover line.

3Pull a small bight under the line that circles the upline.

4Snug the hitch tight.

Doubled variant

1Tie a slipped upline hitch at the very top of the line, pulling almost all of the line into the bight.

2Now, tie a standard slipped upline hitch using the doubled line from step 1.

Begin by running the doubled line down the upline.

38" before the end, make a 90° bend and go behind and around around the upline, crossing over the vertical part of the leftover line.

4Pull a small bight under the line that circles the upline.

5Snug the hitch tight.
